Session 1

1. (Science) Finish Science practice test that you may have started during Science session on pg 38 of Boot Camp Manual

• • Grade it with answers on pg 52 (explanations start on pg 70)
  • Re-work the problems you missed and/or found difficult using the Annotated Test explanations on pg 70 in Boot Camp Manual

2. (Science) Complete Science test from pg 158 of Boot Camp Manual

• • 40 minutes
  • Stay focused and use the Code Crackers as practiced during Science session for each separate type of passage
  • Review the answers and explanations on pgs 180 and rework questions you got incorrect

3. (Math) Work on “Problem Area Concepts” from Math Diagnostic Checklist

• • Visit https://torchprep.com/mathchecklist26/
  • Pick 2 concepts from your Math Diagnostic Checklist
  • For each concept . . .
    • Watch the instructional videos
    • Print and complete the KUTA worksheets
    • Work through the other ACT® problems for any tests you’ve completed for that concept

4. (English) Work on “Problem Area Concepts” from English Diagnostic Checklist

• • Visit https://torchprep.com/englishchecklist26/
  • Pick 2 concepts from your English Diagnostic Checklist
  • For each concept . . .
    • Read the Purdue OWL guided lesson
  • Print and complete the Purdue OWL OR Chomp Chomp worksheets
  • Work through the other ACT® questions for any tests you’ve completed for that concept

Suggested timeline for Week #1

• Day 1 – Finish Science practice test and re-work questions with Annotated form (20 min)
• Day 2 – Complete the Science Practice Test from Boot Camp Manual and review answers (45 min)
• Days 4-7 – Finish working through instructional videos and KUTA worksheets (10-15 min per day)
• Days 4-7 – Work through Purdue OWL/Chomp Chomp exercises (approx. 60 min total)
